I can vouch from my personal experience that there is definitely a link.

About the same time i believe candida started getting the upper hand, I started getting progressively more anxiety and compulsive. I would endlessly find myself counting. Like how many seconds i would stay in the shower, how many bites I would take. just counting everything for no apparent reason.

I forgot how it was to be "normal" until I finally got the upper hand. Now my chronic anxiety is gone and so is the incessant counting.

I really beleive that candida has a consciousness of its own and once it takes over, it alters your own personality.
