Hi MH
My friend (woman) had a skin rush. Doctor prescribed steroids. She took them, and couldn't have bowel movement for 10 days. Everything just stopped moving. She got so sick, heart palpitations, vision blurry, etc, that she had to go to emergency room.
She was eating pretty good fiber all 10 days, but it still didn't help. She said that she had a small BM a day ago (it was soft) but she still has 10 days worth of food in her intestines. Her stomack is bloated, and it is not a good feeling.
She needs to know what is the easiest most effective way to start moving bowels. Something that can be done quickly (i don't think it is good to wait ordering something and waiting for it to arrive).
It looks like her intestinal muscles stopped contracting... All from steroids.
Please help.
