I know there are moms that exclusively nurse for the first year. Who mentioned that your daughter could be low in iron? My first ped. said my first daughter could become anemic if I continued to nurse past the first year. He was wrong and I fired him. Anyway, there is no iron in cow's milk. There is a small amount in breast milk ( I think I was told that by a lactation consultant). I say continue to nurse if that is what you want to do, especially since your daughter shows no interest in food.
