Carrington does have some competition. Cryo-Vera from Terry Labs is just as effective as Manapol in my opinion. I recently read an article quoting the International Aloe Council stating that Carrington does not have a monopoly on preserving Aloe.

I sent a sample of a product with Manapol and Cryo-Vera to a lab and they were nearly identical.

It is the sugars that range in size from 50,000 to 100,000 Daltons that represent the most potent constituents found in aloe vera. These are the polysaccharides that are the most difficult to preserve when processing fresh aloe vera leaves. Terry Labs uses a cryo-dry method that is very effective at preserving Aloe.

A new source of the sugars was brought to market last year called Coffee Fruit Powder.

I'm not certain that Swanson's is a good buy. The truth is not always easy to swallow. A little math and we see the cost is over $600 per pound! I'm pretty certain that A*****ose contains more than 6 grams of Manapol and it's cheaper.
