high dose - low dose
this was a discussion at length that dr abraham got into a couple of times in a couple of ways.
first of all, he says 50mg is a minimum. thats it. right out of the chute, thats what it takes to get
Iodine sufficient.
there were two studies described. the first one was on those taking 50mg per day. due to the difficulty some were having with uptake, and i believe bromism played a part in here, there was the need for 3g of time released Vit C for a period before
Iodine could be taken up sufficiently. there was talk of the symporter mechanisms which i didnt quite catch all of.
but here is where they got traction. another group was given 100mg per day. they achieved sufficiency much quicker and they did so without the aid of vit C. the problems with the lower dose resolved themselves with the higher dose ALONE.
this was the picture in my mind. imagine for a moment you were in one of those situations where you were going to die if you didnt cut your hand off to escape. which is going to be worse? sawing and sawing away with a dull knife with a little blade till you worked through the wrist or a big sharp knife that you could cut through with just one quick slice?
people who are doing a drop a day are like using a chinese water torture on themselves. i never could get it. the biggest problems are ones of acute bromism, and chloride will take care of that. the bigger the dose, the quicker it is over. and the sooner the benefits. its just that simple.
