Re: children, iodine and IQ
while i agree with the gist of your post, if this was a quick onset after having eaten out, it was the food.
Iodine has done nothing but improve my gut. it is also a good tonic for food poisoning.
remember, if one can handle a little
Iodine well, then it is easy to up the amount without too much difficulty. certainly the
Iodine will not hurt you.
look at the dosage for
KI in the event of a radiological emergency:
http://www.nukepills.com/potassium-iodide.htm#dosage
infants newborn to one month dose is 16mg of
KI which is equal to about 10mg of iodine. 2 drops of
Lugols or one iodoral contains 12.5mg of iodine, over half of which is in the form of KI. these are doses which are safe for newborns, people. NEWBORNS! daily doses!
people should be giving their children iodine. they need it. its worth an extra 17 IQ points to their mental abilities. thats practically an entire standard of deviation. in fact, the studies show that in the last couple of decades, the performance of our children have gone down a full standard of deviation. the IQ tests have had to be adjusted downward so that the average person will still score 100. the word idiot, which used to be a technical medical term, means lack of iodine. lack of iodine causes cretenism. in eastern europe, children taunt slow kids by saying, did you forget your iodine?
the dose for children age 3-12 is 65mg of KI. that contains about 45mg of pure iodine. 8 drops of
Lugols is 50mg of iodine. that is what i give my 15yo daughter. daily.
