That depends... a great many people work long and hard at providing services to others, some for a lifetime, BUT some people that do this, begin to feel a sense of ownership and power and begin wield that around. It is not embarrassing nor immature to rake someone over the coals if it is deserved regardless of the work they put into something, especially if they lose focus of their original goals and sense of obligation to those that will come later to read archives. In this respect, V's editing of his past posts is unconscionable.

There are countless examples of people who have worked their fingers to the bone over their lives aiding humanity, ascending in power and fame only to fall to the bottom... some of them are in jail... it happens.

You are right that building, owning and maintaining a forum is hard work... moderating a forum can also be difficult. No argument from me there. VWT have obviously found that out in finding their behaviors and action identical to those they complained incessantly about in other forum owners/moderators.

Perhaps lessons will be learned here and the forum will be stronger as a result... one can only hope. Tweet
