Re: Fasting and Candida; the only way to fly!
In addition to the good sense of sans sucre, I would like to underline that, to my knowledge, candida does not feed on fats either.
So why would you deprive your body of the vital nutriments--proteins and fats--it needs to function properly and fight diseases, since these nutriments do not promote candida overgrowth? It seems to me you are throwing the baby with the bathwater.
And how long are you going to fast? If you keep it up for weeks, you are going to end up a skeleton, lose all muscle, and badly lack vitamins and minerals.
And there is absolutely no guarantee that the candida is not going to return full force when you resume a normal diet--as it is attested by the testimony of people who have been following the diet for months, cheat once and have major flare ups as a result.
I don't get it; it's your body, your choice, but what's the point of weakening the candida, if you severely damage your body and its ability to heal in the process?
