"FEAR MONGERING? Good Lord, all the crap we've taken from ML & his minions since day 1. You want to learn about fear mongering? Visit the ml forum & read his rantings on how "elemental Iodine is POISON!" He's fear-mongerer numero uno. gimme a break, Grz."

I am posting my reply here due to my banning from the Iodine forum...

Who are the minions that you speak of? Celcius? Hardly plural. Others were not against Iodine per se, but mega dosing, and certainly not against Cayce or Jarvis protocol... Iodine supplementation at this level for these lengths of time is, after all, experimental and they have every right to be cautious with their lives and health without being run out of the forum. Hardly fear mongering. Long term effects of mega dosing are not known... the patients who were/are under doctors care are the first... will it pose a long term problem? 5, 10 years down the road? No one knows, but many seem willing to take the chance for the promise of fixing a problem now... sounds like our allopathic mindset getting the best of us.

What on earth made you bring up ML yet again in your fear monger is worse than mine, now go home and leave us alone post? Frankly, it does not matter who does the fear mongering, ML, V, you, or myself... it is what it is. Why is the truth so hard to accept and acknowledge?

I have been saying for years, and you are well aware, that any food or substance can be demonized with one study or another. I seem to remember quite a few very long concerned threads on both this forum and in the Iodine Forum where there was great collective debate, concern, and research done to discern "safe" available forms of iodine, preferably Lugol's, for oral consumption, from those that may not be considered "safe". Would you take all forms of available iodine? No you would not; neither would others, neither would I. To state that elemental iodine is not a poison depends much on type, dose, and length of time given, and dose varies greatly from one individual to the next. You are most aware that too much of anything can kill.

Educated caution is not a bad thing. Why should it be any different with a food such as kelp? Or an apple for that matter. I attempted to put that in perspective with my post, educate, to tell a more complete story, to strip away the obvious, egocentric, competitive bias of one individual. All plants, all foods for that matter, are potential hosts for parasites... to single out kelp is fear mongering.

If I would have left the words fear mongering out, my post would most likely have been received by V in much the same way, though perhaps he would have lost his excuse to hit the ban button.

To use or accept any one person's post, including one of mine, as a blanket statement of endorsement or condemnation of a particular food, supplement, mineral or element, is wrong and quite frankly could be dangerous to some. How many times have you heard me state one man's poison is another man's food/medicine? V's original post was a partial truth and follows his consistent pattern of a blanket demonization of kelp, among other things... he even has trapper riding his coat tails, which quite frankly has surprised me. I called it what it was, fear mongering.

Perhaps his post and many others that make little sense and hold little relevance to the iodine protocol are just for ratings;

I'm just an actor, I do it all for the ratings.

End post...

Looks like he has accomplished his goals.

See it for what it is... many others do...

I find it very interesting that the same things that many including, V, Trapper, and yourself complained the most loudly about ML and the management of the Ask Moreless forum are the exact same behaviors and problems that have surfaced in your forum over the months of its existence, albeit people are chased off of the Iodine Forum for much, much less by brow beating participants and temperamental admins... be careful what you wish for.

I do not hang with any group, yet I continue to be badgered by you and a few others for being in the ML camp... why? Most likely because in certain (gangs) circles it is popular to bash him. People should be ashamed of themselves for this. The crabs and lobsters have been constantly snapping at me, apparently trying hard to pull me back into the boiling pot. You are all much too late, I am over the wall. I am not affiliated with any one group so strongly that I cannot see to move myself upward and onward out of the hole. Among many other similar things, I have survived 4 months in the desert living off the land on my own, I need no one. I have spent the past weekend doing kata and kicks at 51 on fallen logs and boulders in the forest... I could not do that a year ago... and it is not iodine alone that got me here, from almost being wheel chair bound. It is ML's suggestions and knowing how to apply them, which, BTW are almost identical to my mom's folk medicine, similar to the Amish methods Barefoot studies (my mom grew up with the Amish) not far off of Dr. Jarvis' protocols, and was easy for me to understand and accept at both a common sense level and scientific one. I was most surprised and ashamed to see so many including a well intentioned Jeff run out of the Iodine Forum ... changing your posting rules on him in mid-stream. Yes, people notice these things.

Let the Iodine Forum stand on its own, let people post, especially where a correction or broadened scope is warranted as it was in this case.

I remember many in ML's forum, including myself, trying to get ML to cool it when he ranted about the iodine; he since has cooled off, with only very mild (comparatively) occaisional references. In fact, when ML moves in that direction someone will almost always advise caution when necessary and ML accepts it and backs off. I hope it continues to be so... Can V do the same? Perhaps you can temper and reign the boys in and regain some credibility in your forum?

It has been quite a shame to see the iodine forum degrade since the split due primarily to disagreements with those who wished to choose kelp and/or the Cayce or Jarvis methods. Perhaps the forum should once again be renamed to reflect the Fletchas et. al. methods and all other iodine interests be referred to the the other iodine forum. I think it may be possible to bring your iodine forum back to what it once was that way, and perhaps regain some credibility, but not if the current self serving behavior, and egotistical competitive tactics, defended blindly by those who follow, continues.

Most people, those that are not blinded by their narrow focus, see it all for what it is. Most people reach a breaking point, and by the looks of things the ranks have been breaking.
