are red dots that appear and disappear keratosis pilaris??

Ok so I have tried to search everything on the web to find out what I have. I was once diagnosed with KP, but dont think I have it. I dont have the bumpy chicken like skin. In fact somedays I have perfect skin. No reddness at all. then it will get all blotchy and I will all of a sudden like an allergic reaction (but i dont know when or where so I can where skirts) get these red dots like pinprick dots on my legs and my upper arms. the upper arms arent so bad. but the legs arent either. But sometimes they get REAL bad. So is this a symptom of Keratosis pilaris or something else? Please help!
