Tocotrienols are upwards of 100 times more potent antioxidants than tocopherols. However, you should take them separately to enjoy the wonderful health benefits. The U of texas release updated data that indicates that tocopherol content above 10% total (tocotrienol/tocopherol) inhibits absorption of tocotrienols.
There are no tocotrienol products on the market with low tocopherol except for two that i know of...
1. is Co3e, gamma and delta tocotrienol
2. is omeganol, that mixes tocotrienols with omega3s.
Tocotrienols are being shown to prevent angiogenesis in certain cancers, they lower cholesterol is a manner similar to but safer than statins, they block nf kappa b pathways, and they help prevent chlamydia infections as related to heart disease.
Excellent stuff!! I take no less that 120 tocotrienols a day (4 omeganol soft gels)..but be careful...when the label says Tocotrienols, check for Tocopherol...if there is above 10% by wt tocopherols, you are throwing your money away on regular vitamin e.
