That appears to be correct. I can still buy as much Iodine as I want, provided I provide all the required information.

The fact is that Iodine is not regulated. That would take an act of Congress.

Rather, what is subject to regulation are sellers and distributors of iodine in interstate commerce. The legislative jurisdiction of the National government is , and always has been , very limited.

I'm all for preventing the drug cruds from finding it easy to break the laws of the several States in the Union.
I hope that regulating the sellers and distributors of iodine works.
