Nope, not true. You can still get large quantities of Lugol's (i.e., 8 oz., 16 oz., 32 oz., 1 gal.)at Clarkson labs. It seems we were misled about there being a ban on purchasing larger quantities. Please see above link for a possible explanation. If I've understood this all correctly, after 8/1/07, purchases over 1 oz. must be documented and special records kept (for Uncle Sam or somebody like that) which the larger companies were already doing. Some of the smaller companies were not willing to go to that extra paperwork trouble so they discontinued either the sale of larger quantities or sale of Lugol's altogether. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

If you live outside of California, Clarkson ships from one of their other suppliers. Mine was shipped from Ricca in Texas. I paid $33.10 for a 1 liter bottle of Lugol's 5%. It is my understanding that JCrow also uses Ricca as one of their suppliers. The bottle states that it is "Equivalent to USP."
