Why honey bees are disappearing.

After watching the documentary, "The Future of Food," I had an epiphany - as an aside, I highly recommend this documentary to anyone who is concerned about GMO's. A research project that involved feeding Monarch butterfly caterpillars Genetically-Modified-Organisms corn pollen resulted in over 50% of the caterpillars dying from immune deficiency.

So, it stands to reason that, if honey bees are being used to pollenate Genetically-Modified-Organisms crops either by apiary farmers who lease their bees to farmers or naturally occuring honey bees, they are also suffering the same fate as did the Monarch caterpillars. The mites that have been blamed on killing the honey bee population are nothing new - they have been around since Methusela. What has NOT been around for more than a decade or so is genetically CLONED plants - Cloning only requires ONE set of DNA, not the combination of 2 sets that is required by Nature to reproduce ANYthing. So, honey bees are not getting their nutritional requirements in the half-baked Genetically-Modified-Organisms pollen and their immune systems are compromised, thus making them more susceptible to the effects of mite infestation, among other immune hazards. EVEN INSECTS are being destroyed by genetically manufactured organisms!

Any other takers on this theory?
