when to stop iodoral?

I have been on 1 tablet of 12.5 mg Iodoral for about a month. At first I saw a lot of positive things. Now I still have some positives (no constipation). Initially my appetite went very high and I gained a little weight but that has settled down now and I lost the weight.... So I thought I was getting more hypothyroid again. I am slipping back into couch potato mode and getting a little emoitional. My body is much warmer than it was before. And I am even getting a little sweaty which is not that usual for me. I am afraid that my natural thyroid hormone production will be pushed down by the Iodoral and if I ever go of the supplement I would be even more hypothyroid. Is there reason for concern about that is it actually going to take a while on the Iodoral to get the Iodine I need? I just looked at a site called allthyroid.org which seemed mainly concered about how all of us in the USA are getting way too much Iodine and are in danger of getting Hashimoto's disease from the "excess". That seems way out of keeping with everything else I have read but I am becomeng very confused. I know I was very hypothyroid to start with or my nutritionist would not have put me on this stuff. Does anybody know what signs would tell me it is time to stop the Iodoral?
