Testing for Mites and how to get rid of them?

Ok, just a quick question about how to determine if I have these "mites"... you know, before I go and blow a ton of money trying to treat something I may not even have or something that is not affecting me. I remember reading that you have to do a bunch of crazy things and have access to a microscope and things like that if you want to be able to test for mites, is this true? Are you saying that Benzoyl Peroxide will kill mites, and if so is that something you can get at your local drug store? Also, does zapping and things of that nature kill mites? I would like to test & treat as best I can without having to by medicine imported from some far away country or something like that. If I have these little buggars crawling on me and they ARE in fact causing my problems, I want them dead. Tweet
