I am new to this forum and am trying to make sense of high blood pressure--a health condition of my friend. I just read the following paragraph from a site before I read your post on high blood pressure.
"Plaque in the arteries is a good thing too. When the blood is too acidic, and the acid begins scarring the interior walls of the blood vessels, cholesterol builds up and sticks to artery walls and protects them from the acid. High blood pressure is another life-saving strategy of the body. When the arteries becomes constricted, the heart must pump more pressure to bring the nutrients to the body parts and remove wastes."
I would like to explain to my friend the causes of high blood pressure. Is the explanation here and yours like the 2 sides of a coin? For sure, alkalizing is the solution. That's what I am trying to get across.
