yes, lack of sex drive is one of the side effects of mirena - it doesnt affect everyone that way, of course, but on the other hand, there are alot of people on this forum who have lost their sex drive when on mirena. as soon as they come off it, they start to feel better again. Depression is also common.
spotting is fairly normal on mirena - how long have you had mirena in? spotting often stops after a few months, although for some people it never stops, so it just depends on how it is affecting your body.
please go to the following website that i have listed below, to check out all the possible side effects that you can get with mirena, then you will be more aware of what might happen. if you feel worse on mirena, due to the lack of sex drive etc and you feel it is affecting your relationship, then it may not be the best thing for you to keep it in.
