I think that it is easier if you take a week or so to prepare for your fast - go off caffeine if you drink it, perhaps just eat fruit and vegetables for at least a couple of days. Then it wont be such a shock to you. For the first couple of days of my fast I did a Bowel Cleanse with psyllium and bentonite. This helped because these things helped fill me up. I am juice fasting, which is much gentler than water fasting. I am still losing weight pretty quickly. If you have never fasted before, you may want to start with a juice fast or The Master Cleanser - and then ease into a Water Fast if you are so inclined. Good Luck!
