Here is a copy of an email that I just sent to the curezone webmaster:

Dear Webmaster,

I'm writing to ask if you could please disable the option to crosspost between the Alternative Alcohol forum and the Alcoholics Anonymous forum.

It turns out that recently crossposted messages between the two forums has been resulting in online conflict between the two groups. While both groups are recovering alcoholics, their approaches are extremely different. In fact, the Alternative Alcohol forum exists as a place where people can discuss strategies to achieve sobriety WITHOUT the influence of AA dogma. Some people who regularly post on that forum (including myself) view the AA philosophy as detrimental to maintaining one's sobriety.

The end result is that when people cross-post between these two forums, it leads to bickering and name-calling which wastes everyone's time, especially in terms of sobering up, improving one's lifestyle, etc. From the perspective of one who wants an alternative to AA dogma, I find that whenever AA people post their stuff on the alternative alc. forum, it is very disruptive.

Is there a way to disable crossposting between these two forums?

Here is a recent link addressing this problem:
