I agree completely. But THAT kind of person (who EMBRACES the wisdom of the spirit of the law) is few and far between; most especially when handed "power" on a silver platter. Any position of authority requires mature judgment; and the ability to view mercy as NOT being weak ... which, once again, goes back to the spirit of the law vs. the letter of the law.
Man o'man ... takes a special person to fill those shoes. I suppose we can only learn from our mistakes and strive toward that goal of perfection.
I sure do love it here ... I always have something to ponder. I can't tell y'all how many times I come into a topic with one "firm" opinion, and change it fifteen times before I reach another "firm" opinion.
