I Have a Sincere Question

Thought I'd go ahead and post it in here (cause I have a funny feeling it will be twisted into a debate even though that is NOT my intention at all.)

Sincere Question about Moderators:

Aren't moderators supposed to respect their position enough to WANT to remain anonymous?

I hope this question is not out-of-line? I surely do not intend for it to be ... I just know, for me personally, if I were a moderator I wouldn't EVER want to parade my position publicly lest I come across as junior-high-ish.)

I am so lost with everything going on in here ... I have a lot to catch up on ... I may regret asking this question later. And, if I do, I promise I will come back and apologize.
