Thanks for the replies everyone. I had not considered that there might be a deliberate reason you want your body's BMR to slow down. Then I read about people that dropped 30 or 40 lbs on the MC. I get discouraged. One person claimed to have lost 56 lbs (working out 7 days a week) and is aiming for 60 days. I didn't start the cleanse for weight loss, but now that it's happening, I want to maximize it.

I have the book and it confuses me when it says up to 12 drinks a day, but later says if you get really hungry, drink another glass of lemonade.

I'm going in to day 21 - all downhill from here ;)

I'll try the molasses, I forgot about that.
