Re: Minerals and Teeth
Right now I'm taking between 350-700mg Ca, about 200mg Mg, and about 200mg of K per day. I basically try to keep my Mg and K the same. Both are highly absorbable in the digestive track so 1:1 usually works well. I take the Mg separate from all, but I will take the Ca and K together. I try to put a few hours between Mg and the others.
I haven't tried zeta water, but I may. Right now, I've got a pretty solid system going, and I'm trying to reduce my supps once I feel things are staying in balance better.
I have to say WOW. Your imbalances remind me so much of my own. Of course, we seem to be imbalanced in the same minerals with similar symptoms, but different mineral conflicts.
In a way, it sounds like you may be dealing with both an
Iodine deficiency, and some really trace, trace minerals, like maybe chromium and manganese. Okay my quick thoughts before I forget the connections...
You take sodium and it boosts your manganese which helps improve your hypoglycemia, but it lowers your magnesium which may pull down your chromium resulting in impaired glucose metabolism, as would selenium(insomnia), and even potassium. Vitamin E is synergistic with copper which is antagonistic to chromium which would explain its similarity to sodium. Also, magnesium is a manganese antagonist in a big way. It appears that manganese has direct effect on your big 3, magnesium, potassium and sodium, and it can affect your cycle so it could definitely be the gremlin in the machine.
Iodine lowers chromium and manganese, so you may want to get both of them up and your system balanced before you introduce the iodine. However, if you find that working on these two trace minerals doesn't balance the equation,
Iodine may be the real missing link. I only suggest the traces first because they will likely balance much faster than your iodine, which I would definitely suggest you trying again. Also, chromium may be reduced by fat as well, and lecithin is a fat emulsifier which helps the body utilize fat, so that may be the lecithin connection. Zinc is a double-edged sword because it is a big friend of chromium. It tries to increase the chromium levels which will provide some improvement, but since chromium may really be low, it will soon cause more reactions. I could go on and on, but I may not even be close to the real issue, so as usual, you'll have to do a bit of research and see if any of this makes since for you.
Not to make the possibilities endless, but what is your vitamin A intake like? Zinc and vitamin E can really affect vitamin A. And if you were taking vitamin D with your calcium that could affect your vitamin A levels. Low vitamin A can cause
Acne and dry skin.
I made the connection of my skin and copper on acu-cell which helped explain my inflammatory response to vitamin C. I've attached a few links for you to research a bit about the minerals I've mentioned.

Congrats on the burn, awesome story!
I haven't tried the flush without Mg. I did use magnesium citrate a few times, and my reaction was better than with the ES, but I still dried out some and stayed dry for 2-3 days. High doses of calcium(1000-1200mg) helped shorten the dry spells, but then I'd get dry from too much calcium if I didn't stop that within 48 hours. It also blurred my vision, so that was pretty annoying. That also happens when I get too much or too little Mg in general. I'm hoping the iodine will help fix that glitch too.
Oh, by the way, my digestion improved probably 80% since I began the iodine, especially my fat digestion. It took about 3 weeks to become a really obvious improvement. For a few days my stomach acid got kinda high so I backed off the iodine for about 4 days. Then when I returned at a lower dosage, my digestion was better than it has been in years. AND, my perpetual post nasal drip that I was desperately trying to resolve for nearly 2 years finally stopped. Whatever microbe was making a home in there has finally decided the environment is too hostile, and took a hike! I still have the slightest sinus build up in the morning, but a shower and a nose blow, and its nice and clear for the day. I'm confident that after more time using the iodine, my sinuses will be perfect. Oh, and my daughter's 2 year old chronic underarm rash has completely faded on less than 2mg of iodine, 3 times a week for about a week and a half. She is thrilled as it is so close to swimsuit season. She did get a very mild rash on her arms(bumps you can feel more than see) and on one cheek(just pinkness no bumps there), but was willing to drink the salt water and take the vitamin C which should help with the symptoms. I'm reducing her dosage to 2 times per week to ensure that reactions don't get worse.
