Another Newbie Needing Support
Wow, I cannot I believe I found this place. I am actually quite grateful and see this as a great starting point to actually finish my fast. I have always caved in before. Most recently after 5 days. I began my
Water Fast at 9pm EST last night and have done only water today. I did a phosphosoda purge to completely empty my colon so I think that has helped a little bit. Right now, it's all psychological so any help you guys can provide is welcome and I look forward to helping others as well. It's such a relief to find somewhere that people can talk about this instead of all of the naysayers (my family and friends) who tell me how unhealthy this is based on old wives tales instead of research.
This time, no one will know what I'm doing because I don't need the barrage of "you should eat something", "It's so unhealthy", "you're starving yourself" and most famous, "This will have the direct opposite effect on weight loss by slowing your metabolism."

Day 1 was fairly easy until early this afternoon when I found myself very irritable. Around 5pm, I REALLY wanted to make some fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Increased cigarette and water intake to overcome (cigarettes, I know, I know, but one hurdle at a time :-))
