Re: Calcified GS 1.5 cm

Ellie,
if there is bile inside gallbladder, then good expert can detect any kind of stones by ultrasound.

If gallbladder is empty (no bile-only stones) then ultrasound examination can hardly detect cholesterol stones.

So, until you do flush, you don't know what your stones are composed of.

In case of x-ray examination, it is common that only large calcified stones can be detected.

Cholesterol, protein, pigment and calcium are comon Gallstones "ingredients", but percentage of each can vary significantly. People who have only calcified stones are very rare.

And, beware that your surgeon's job is to scare you into surgery. His job is to come up with arguments that will make you doubdt any alternative.

Instead of waiting and hoping that diet can help, I suggest you to do the flush.
The longer you wait ... the larger your gallstone can grow ... and that can make more problems with cleansing.

Forget your fear and just do it.

If the stone is too large ... it will stay there.
If it is not too lage for your ducts ... you will get it out. Stone that stuck (something that is very unlikely, from my point of view) can always be chased out by the next flush - next day.

Gallbladder surgery is relatively new procedure.
But Gallstones existed for thousands of years.
What do you think people have been doing 300 years ago?

It is great that we have that option (surgery), just in case, makes us feel safe, ... but before you really need it for some real emergency .... why not give a chance to a thousnad year old cure? You are not the first person who's Gallstones have been diagnosed by ultrasound, and if other people managed ... you can do it too ...

Agnes
