Re: How to get rid of fruit flies in house?

I have had these things for a long time. I noticed that if I left a glass of lemonade unattended they would fall in there and drown. I give them their own glass of lemonade with maple syrup added now. I place the glass near where ever they are congregating. It helps some. When there are many of them we actually use the vacuum hose and suck them up. They are not too bright and are easy to suck up in the vacuum. I do not know of any other way to get rid of them as I adamantly oppose spraying poison inside. Or outside for that matter.

There is also a recent ant invasion that I do battle with. For that one, I use patchouli oil, which they hate.
