Re: FANTASTIC FIND!..but it's BROMINE POISONING...NOT excess iodine.

you know it was late last night that i was skimming over that website and i missed that chart...

i disagree with those statements too, that "excess iodine" is the cause of acne, rashes, etc. experiencing those symptoms is in fact a tell tale sign that the Iodine is starting to work and unfortunately we will have to do the best we can to manage the detox. i hope people don't give up when they have those detox signs cause it is in fact a good thing!

strange thing though...right above that chart on the site she says:

Can Excess Iodine Be Harmful?
True allergies are extremely rare. But Iodine tolerance varies with individuals. Most reactions to high iodine intake are likely due to the forced excretion of toxic halides, such as bromide, fluoride and perchlorate. Symptoms can include: acne, eczema, rashes, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, increased salivation, metallic taste in mouth, sneezing, nervousness, palpitations and racing pulse. Caution should be used in cases of Grave’s Disease (hyperthyroid). Dose should be adjusted to tolerance in conjunction with your health care provider.

so in other words she is acknowledging in this paragraph that the acne, eczema, headaches, nausea, etc are due to detox and other halogens being forced out of the body by the iodine. so it kinda contradicts the chart, don't ya think?
