Yet I've read that good bacteria feed on carbohydrate/sugar too. Google Carbohydrates and common sense, those exact words, and you'll find an interesting article which goes against the grain of the anti-candida diet.
I found an article about homeopathy and 'not having to do that diet(candida)' which advocates a similar approach.

The anti-candida diet, meats, fish, vegetables, small amounts of grains(quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat, millet)has never helped me one iota. To the contrary, my latest attempt at it plus anti fungals had me crossing the line from ketosis to losing muscle mass!
