I've been using the glycerine before I go to bed each night, and it does seem to enhance my sleep, making it easier to stay asleep and for a longer duration, too. The only recommendation I'd make about glycerine is that if you have a candida problem, you should take an antifungal along with the glycerine. While glycerine can't be metabolized by bacteria, it seems to be easily consumed by fungi. When I started using an antifungal along with the glycerine, the flatulence went away.
