Re: there is no debate
Trapper, it's not that I am itchin to debate Iodine. Before I can even determine if there is something from my perspective to debate about it, I'm itching to get a handle on some of the flood of confusion (mine) that's arising out of the flood of information occuring in this new forum. I'm still too busy observing the flood to have time to decide whether or not there is something flowing within it to debate. 12 days ago there was a thread that arose asking for an
Iodine forum.

I just barely remember the thread occuring at that time, it occured outside the scope of my forum focus, so I did not immediately investigate or follow it. Without even reading any of the actual posts, just from the point of observing this forum has had a steady flow of new topics occuring in succession has been quite a phenom. In the last 12 days, this new forum has undoubtedly been the focus of some people since there has been an avalanche of posts on this new
Iodine Debate forum, and this avalanche has in some cases tumbled beyond the simple boundary of discussing just Iodine. I'm not begrudging that in anyway, just voicing my observation of that. Depending upon the particular avalanche in question (so many to choose from these days), some of us are not as good at keeping up with any of them in particular as some others may be. Among the things I'm trying to understand about the phenom of
Iodine Debate forum is, how did a forum that that was first requested 12 days ago end up today showing 8 screens full of post archives dating back some 65 days? Evidently, when this forum was set up, somebody decided to grandfather a whole bunch of previous posts into this new forum. Some of us do not hit the ground with our debate feet already running, it takes a little while longer for us to contemplate whether or not there is an aspect worthy of debate.
What does this have to do with moving Iodine from debate to Support? Bleep, nothing that I know of, I'm still to weed through 8 pages of archive trying to piece togther a sound rationale for trying Iodine, and having a difficuult enough time at that. The Stanley/Flechas a/v was a very good piece. I showed it to my sister who's been chronically under medial treatment for HashiMoto Hypothyroidism. Along the way she's also experienced & been treated by orthodoxy for the various "plumbing problems" that tend to afflict people with this problem. Now she's after aksing "where do I get Iodine, where do I get Iodine? I want some. I wanna take some. Help me out little brother! You got me onto this. Why are you suddenly wanting me to drag my feet on this?". Meanwhile, I'm trying to get her to become a little attuned to first becoming a bit more self informed on a concern, studying the topic before leaping in headfirst without having first looked. To me, that is characterisitic of the same pattern we've been conditioned into, the "you have a problem?, I have a pill, all you have to do is get the pill and take it" 'ism.
Help! Somebody please stop the Iodine merry go round long enough for some of us to get a better bead on it :)
