You are correct... that and getting rid of my amalgams. I still have not become comfortable with the idea of composite fillings to replace... my idea is to have one of the smallest ones completely removed to see if my "live" tissue will repair. Given this little piece of the puzzle I am all the more positive it will if on removal the tooth is debrided a bit.
