I think you are right on with the pesto... the
Iodine and the oils dude. I think V had a post or two about that. Maybe ingesting with the oil and selenium will help with the displacement of the other halides.
You are right though, I am sure it happens over time. Since I have been taking a good 2 - 3 mg of
Iodine a day in kelp alone for the last 6 months, my total daily intake has been around 5 - 6 mg a day at least when I factor in the dulse, occasional cod liver oil, the occasional fish I eat, etc. etc. Another factor is the selenium... it is no wonder an increase can have a positive result with me rather quickly. I am sure the same is true for you.
Interesting that breast and prostate cancer patients are not only low in iodine, but selenium as well.
Once again, that pesto I am sure packs a dynamite punch.
