I don't think you can read that much into it. There always seems to be a story that the U.S. media is pre-occupied with. When he was found guilty they told him that it was going to be a quick process - no long drawn out appeals like here in the States (no comfy cell with cable t.v. and a lifetime membership to the Playboy channel while you wait a million years for people to get their shit together). Islamic law works differently then the West. Plus, you can't give advance warning for something like this. If you did you would have every Baghdad cowboy out there trying to make a last stand/statememt before the execution. Tweet
