Can someone answer my question - problem with my zapper

Was having a little problem with my zapper. (Body Talks Zapper). It has two settings, 2.5khz and 30khz. I've been zapping on the lower, 2.5khz. Felt it just wasn't working properly. Got my hubby to check and one of the leads was faulty. He checked the connector, it wasn't making proper contact. He checked it with a multimeter. Now that he has fixed it (I hope) it's throwing out 4.4V direct current. Is this enough to kill the parasites. Just want to make sure.
