There is definite scince to argue against using strong antioxidants when undergoing radiation therapy for cancer, but it is more questionable regarding chemotherapy. Most Alternative cancer treatments are not thoguht to interfere with most chemotherapy in any meaningful way. However, the oncologists often tell pateints not to use "vitamins and supplemetns" during chemotherapy because they think it does no good, and who knows if it might interfere with their "proven chemotherapy treatments".
