Re: Schizophrenia, Constipation, and Dysbiosis

Dear mountaingoatuk Your post was inspiring to me as a mother of a middle aged "schizophrenic-effective" son. This term means he is not fully schizophrenic only "sort-of" but it has fully still ruined his life. He also has some manic/ depressive and obsessive conpulsive tendencies. Since I found the Cure-Zone and am starting to clean up my own health problems, I am hoping our son will want to take the alternative (nutritional and supplements) route in order to be able stop taking lithium and anti-psychotic medication. The side effects from these drugs are horrendous, as you know. I suspect the medication has a lot to do with the constipation problems. Our son was very ill when he was two years old and had to be hospitalized for removal of his tonsils and adenoids. Perhaps that had some bearing on his mental illness that appeared much later when he was a teenager. He seemed to be normal during normal prior to puberty. My heart goes out to you.
