my husband is a 1st sgt with an marine infantry unit.he has done 2 tours.although i do not agree with all of bush's policies,i do not beleive that we should pull our troops out,not yet.my husband (in his expert opinion) thinks we should do a sweep of all hot spots first, kind of like in fallujah 'get out or die'.we are not winning this war because of geneva conventions, because we as upstanding AMERICAN soldiers have to follow rules of engagement while our often unseen enemy gets a chance to clean his knife before he stabs us in the back again.and if we pull a big chunk of manpower out now,we will see how ugly things can be.alot more men will die with this defeatest attitude.we should not depend on our governement to keep us free.we as americans should rise up and fight.this is the greatest nation in the world.where is your american spirit?
WAR IS AN UGLY THING,BUT NOT THE UGLIEST OF THINGS.THE DECAYED AND DEGRADED STATE OF MORALE IN THIS COUNTRY IS MUCH WORSE.AN IDIVIDUAL WHO HAS NOTHING FOR WHICH HE IS WILLING TO FIGHT FOR,NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT THAN HIS OWN PERSONAL SAFETY IS A MISERABLE CREATURE WITH NO CHANCE OF BEING FREE UNLESS MADE AND KEPT SO BY BETTER MEN THAN HIMSELF.
