Well first...I'm a woman, not a man. And I wasn't trying to be rude or fire anybody up. I was just saying what helped me because one way doesn't always work for everyone. Admittedly, I'm passionate in the way I feel about this topic.
In response to what you said, I believe there is a difference in allowing things to get out of control, and "losing" control. I don't believe there is such a thing as "losing" control over ones own actions because it is us who is always at the wheel, so to speak. I believe it's very easy when life is difficult, when we're confused or depressed, when we *feel* powerless and weak and hopeless - to allow things to spin out of control because we feel as though we've lost control over our lives. I believe we never lose control, we only choose not to control ourselves. I agree: one must own up to that in order to make changes. There's no room for change otherwise.
