Cause for leukemia

I read a fascinating article in a post here at curezone, at the following url:
curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=880#I
(search for leukemia and fungal if you cannot see the above link)
Basically the article states that Dr. Kauffman found fungal infections are related to leukemia.

My cousin's baby was just diagnosed with leukemia so I was doing some research. I knew very little about the child's condition since she lives across the country.

Surprise! My cousin writes back to me that her daughter "got" a fungal infection right after being diagnosed with leukemia. BUT, (I can't believe this) she thinks the article has no merit! I had no idea the child had a fungal infection. Coincidence? I think not!

Why would you ignore information like this when your child's life is in danger? She has only a 50% chance of surviving, and my cousin thinks it's not worth checking out despite the amazing coincidence?!?
