Being run out of towns is hardly a valid measure of the worth of the man. He was challenging established religion -- of course he annoyed people!

He was just as much a prophet as any of the other ones.

Now I've annoyed all the other religions...

It's too bad, however, that we don't have those golden tablets that captures Moroni's writings, from which Smith claimed to have acquired/translated the Book of Mormon.

Let me juts say this: If the meek really are to inherit the earth, then the Mormons are at least as likely as any other branch of Christianity to become our new overlords.
