Blisters after alkaline foot bath

I tried an alkaline foot bath last night, with epsom salts, baking soda and Hydrogen Peroxide. This morning when I woke up, I had about 15 tiny water blisters on the inside of my cheeks. (I get these occasionally, but it is typically just one big one in the back of my mouth). They didn't hurt, and I popped them easily with my finger. Were they acidic toxins? Has anyone ever experienced this? I wonder what would have happened if I did the whole bath! I think I will do these foot baths for a while before progressing to the full bath.
