Re: Calcium Hydroxide-DANGER???

i found this on wikipedia:

An overdose of calcium hydroxide can have dangerous symptoms, including:

* Difficulty in breathing
* Internal bleeding
* Hypotension
* Skeletal muscle paralysis, interference with actin-myosin system.
* An increase in blood pH, which is damaging to the internal organs.

i know that wikipedia is not the most reputable source, but i'm pretty sure that they got the info. from this page: http://www.answers.com/topic/calcium-hydroxide, which seems pretty informative.

this page says much of the same: http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_adm4445/is_6/ai_n16082444

and this one: http://pennhealth.com/ency/article/002910.htm

and pretty much every other page on the net. this website is the only one i've found that says anything positive about ingesting lime water. i'm sure that at such low-strength diluted levels it is much safer, and obviously causes alkalinity, which is great, but it seems that there is no way to tell if it will cause these harmful effects over time. i'm still researching it, but i'm a skeptic by nature, and before i try something so controversial i need more proof.
