Re: Blog to Share

I disagree about her blog not being pertinent to hypertension. After having such high blood pressure that it resulted in a very minor stroke, I instintively felt that going meatless would somehow help my hypertension. Particularly since not liking seafood or fowl I ate way too much red meat.

In fact after being vegetarian for about 6 months now, I do feel calmer, less tense and less like a cardiac patient waiting to happen. It has helped with my weight, blood pressure, energy, endurance, attitude, etc. significantly and I think it's an integral part of whatever success I've had in turning my health around.

One thing that surprised me after a lifetime of loving meat, was how after only a few days, the idea of eating meat seemed (and still does) repulsive. And knowing what unbelievably hellish existances farmed animals can have, I feel wonderful knowing that my existance doesn't have to rely on and support that industry anymore. Icing on the cake.
