Re: Diet challenge/FYI
First of all I don't have your problem.
For other reasons to make my body less acidic, I follow more or less what you are suggesting. My reason is to get my PH up and I found out that the way I was eating according to Ayurveda (Pitta) it did not completely work. I found out from this website
http://www.euroamericanhealth.com that certain metabolic types don't do well and get the opposite results from carbohydrates. In my case I have always have had very high triglycerides (I expect to have to wait till next year to see if it works).
So now I have added meat (free range, no hormone chicken or sardines) a couple of times a week, I cut back to 1 fruit a day instead of several, eat 1 carbohydrate (like a grain or potato) a day. I do not eat protein at night only at lunch time. Instead of meat at lunch time I eat 8 almonds and 1-2 brasilnuts with veggies. A daily salad to which I add green max
http://swansonvitamins.com , and several spices like turmeric,orageno,
Seasalt etc., 2 tbs olive oil and 2 tbs applecider vinegar.
To-day after I ordered the basepowder from euro PayPal wrote me that the owner had suddenly died. He was a retired doctor.
Before this I was using Alka seltzer Gold which basically had the same ingredients. Though the Gold was working, all my nightly cramps went away, I thought the basepowder was doing well keeping up my PH in daytime. I might have to go back to the Gold. Originally I had found the info about the sodium/potassium bicarbonate on the Dr.
Clark Forum , see under the book where it says Alkalizing.
Eedeebee I find your reaerch interesting. I am also a follower of Andreas, but found out that may be being vegetarian does not work for me. I already did foodcombining. Fruit by itself and only veggies with protein or carbohydrates, but never carbs and protein.
From Owen
http://owen.curezone.com I learned to use enzymes (megazymes from
http://www.swansonvitamins.com )when you eat the wrong foodcombination and in my case I use them when I eat meat. Owen likes Andreas but disagrees with not using supplements.
It takes a long time to figure out what our bodies need, it has been several years for me and I am still improving.
