Re: arming teachers
as a parent, i am upset with public education in general. i think it is broken and wont be fixed until parents get directly involved. but then many times they are not involved in raising their kids before they get to school - they let hollywood and the churches and the neighborhood kids do it for them.
i walked right into the highschool yesterday and it was between classes. i walked through the halls and to my childs classroom to bring him candy he had forgotten for his teachers birthday. no one said a word to me. does this bother me? not really. there is a price for freedom. i am more concerned about the schools becoming so federalized and so regimented that our children learn that a police state is a normal run of affairs. and isnt that whats going on in schools anyway? it is more about social engineering than anything. i would hope that every redblooded american highschool teacher with a gun would have it handy. it is not only their right, but it is a responsibility which has been taken away from us.
watched castaway the other day. boy, could he have used a swiss army knife. it is criminal to prevent us from being self sufficient. the price for freedom can be horific, but it is not any more than many men have volunteered for in our history. and it is worth it, unless we spit on their graves by giving those rights away.
