Re: rat poison antidote!!!

I went to your site after we admitted Haley to the hospital. Both of the vets who treated her were top-notch, and did the whole "when in doubt, give Vitamin K" thing. It was only after the fact that my husband went to the places where he had placed the rat poison and found that all FOUR packets were gone.

People hate to admit that they've seen rats in their alleys, but it's almost a fact of city life. Haley could have sniffed the poison out, or, being a Shepherd, could have eaten a rat. Either way, we lost a dear little friend.

The good news is that Haley was soon replaced with Mandy, a cute little we-don't-know-what-she-is that our son rescued from the pound. She's living poison-free with us right now while our son is home from college.

I hope others learn from our tragedy.
