Re: Titus 1:5 to 1:16

After Cornithians and Timothy in the bible we have Titus. Titus tells us what kinds of man we should and should not listen to.
According to Titus 1:5 to 1:16
A good elder is:
One who is blameless
a steward of God
the husband of one wife
having faithful children that are not riotous or unruly
not selfwilled
not soon angry,
not given to wine,
no striker,
not given to filthy lucre;
a lover of hospitality
a lover of good men
sober
just
holy
temperate
holding fast to the faithful words he has been taught
speaks from sound doctrine.

Whom Titus says must be silenced:

Titus 1:10 to 1:16
Unruly vain talkers and decievers
and those who promote circumcision
Titus 1:11 Those whose mouths must be stopped are those who subvert and destroy whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucres sake.
1:12 For they are cretians and the cretians are always liars, evil beasts and thier bellies are slow. thier minds and conscience are defiled.
1:16 In works they are abomidable, disobidient and reprobate.

You want to listen to good sound wisdom and learn to discern what is true for you.
Sermon over.
Have a good day.
