Re: Ouch!! criticism from spouse re diet & cleansing
Hi Red,
I know, I don't have it as bad as some people do--my hubby eats a lot better
than a lot of folks, but everything in life can be matter of comparison:
there is always someone better off, and there is always someone worse off
than you, whether that be in material riches, in intelligence, in talent,
in health, and the list goes on. I know he can do better, but ultimatley it
IS his choice. I waited till I was almost 53 to get married; there are
probably few guys around who would do what I do to stay healthy. Most have
had to lose their good health to get to that point, unfortunately. (This is
obviously not limited to the male sex.) At least my hub doesn't criticize me
for doing cleanses and flushes and the like. I would be outta here if that
were the case! I do feel for you. He doesn't mind what I do "to" or for
myself, it just gets personal for him when I try to tell him that there is
a better way for him. So I just have to maintain that boundary better.
It's not always easy, cuz I see his Parkinson symptoms worsen year by year,
and there are the other not so serious symptoms as well, like coughing up
mucus and acid reflux type symptoms. It's not easy being a natural eating
and living person! LOL We ought to form a club of some sort, just all live
in close proximity to one another. Maybe someday that will happen more
and more. That is my hope, at least!
