Boy it can be hard! I'm on day four and am doing it basically with The Master Cleanse though I cheated with a tiny bit of food, but better food than alcohol. I'm finding basically the water, lemon, syrup, cayenne pepper mixture just gets rid of the craving. It's a holiday weekend, I went to the store and emerged with lemons and mineral water and NO ALCOHOL! I truly think our systems are out of whack complete from all that drinking and the way we think has to be changed. It's about impulse control too. When I have an impulse if I ride it out, take a walk or drink some more lemon and note it's diuretic cleansing effect and how much better I feel there's no way I'm going on another drinking binge. We may stumble but as long as you get back up...any addiction is tough and I still smoke! Hang in there...I read this all the time to get inspiration.
